Yesterday, March 30, 2019, was the night of Africa’s Dancehall King Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr aka Shatta Wale as he won the most awards at 2019 3Music Awards.
Shatta Wale prior to the awards yesterday, had the most nominations, bagging eleven in all followed by Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Kuami Eugene in no particular order.
At the end of the awards’ ceremony, Shatta Wale beat stiff competition from most of the musicians he was competing within the various categories he was nominated and won eight awards out of the eleven nominations.

He cemented his position as the Dancehall King as he beat both Samini and his protege Stonebwoy to win the Reggae Dancehall song and artiste of the year with his smash hit song, ‘Gringo’.
Shatta Wale has on a number of occasions, shed tears while on stage performing, with the recent one being at his Reign Album launch and concert until yesterday.
Shatta Wale shed yet another tears yesterday on 3 Music Awards stage when he won the Video of the year award with his ‘Gringo’ song.
