Ghanaian artiste, D Black would “solidly” support a bid by Media Personality Kofi OKyere Darko (KOD) for the presidency of Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).

The former is of the opinion that the Starr 103.5 FM Presenter has the experience and “understands the entertainment industry” to steer affairs of the music body to greater heights.

“There are some names in my head but if they are ready to dedicate their time and their energy towards MUSIGA and music. I think someone like KOD, he has been the artiste manager, he has worked with producers, he understands music, he is a TV personality and radio host and he understands the entertainment industry,” shared Black to Prince Benjamin on Class Drive on Class 91.3 FM.

“He (KOD) has been on the various fields, he has been the manager for Wutah, he has been the event coordinator for Nescafe African Revelation, he understands business, so, if he is going to stand or run for MUSIGA (President). I will be solidly behind him.”

He also spoke about some attributes he thinks a new president of MUSIGA should have.

“I think whoever should lead MUSIGA has to be a very selfless individual and have some business IQ and must be ready to drop whatever they are doing in their lives and their career.”

Current President Bice Osei Kuffour’s term will end in the coming months. Voting will be held on June 26, 2019 to elect new officers for the music body.
