When the whole Menzgold brouhaha began, there were rumours that Nana Appiah Mensah, CEO of Menzgold had fled the country with his family to Dubai.
In a press conference earlier in the day, NAM1 finally debunked such rumors and detailed how he left Ghana to Dubai.

He emphatically stated that he did not escaped from Ghana to Dubai as most media platforms captured.
According to NAM1, he was already overseas trying to recover debts owed him, when the whole Menzgold saga began.
The CEO of Menzgold continued by indicating that he never jumped bail as it was also reported.

According to him, he co-operated with Economic and Organised Crime Office(EOCO) in every step indicating that before he left the country EOCO was aware that he was leaving.
