Fast forward, the two Dancehall rival Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale after a moment of reflection decided to put their egos aside and the reconcile.
As a result, last weekend Shatta Wale paid a surprise visit to Stonebwoy’s Ashaiman To The World Concert which further cemented their reconciliation and unity.
Having said that, High Life artiste of the year, Kuami Eugene has revealed why Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale clashed the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
According to the singer, the main cause of the clash as a result of the fan bases of their two top Dancehall artistes.
Kuami Eugene speaking on Hitz Fm indicated that fan bases are a disruption the Ghana Music Industry and won’t help the industry grow.
The “Angela” hit maker said;
What happened at the VGMAS between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale was basically because of fanbase. Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s fight at the VGMAS over awards was all because of their fans. If not because they wanted to please their fans , i’m not sure they would worry themselves to fight over an award. This fanbase thing won’t help us”
“ “When King Promise, KiDi, Stonebwoy or Shatta Wale is doing a show, I’ll urge every Ghanaian to go. I don’t want Shatta movement to come to my show and I won’t get BHIM or Sark nation there. I just don’t second the notion that we live in this small country with not even 50 million people but there are lots of nations in this small nation.”
