Naira Marley has sent a warning message to his fans, known as Marlians.
There has been much talk about the Marlians-some in jest and some as criticisms. Marlians are regarded as individuals who do not live by the rules but make their own rules.
This has recently begun to pose a problem as it has resulted in some young people getting themselves in trouble.
Some SM fans and Marlians are equal but the only differences is the distance between Ghana and Nigeria, which make some Shatta Movements fans not exceptional
Parents and some pastors, including Apostle Chris Omashola, have blamed Naira Marley’s influence on children for the decline in society and in our youth, which they say has not been positive.
Omashola even claimed that God had revealed to him that Naira Marley was a demon sent to destroy our young people’s future.
The singer has now sent his fans a piece of advice, urging them to enjoy their lives but also to make sure they don’t destroy their future while at it.
He tweeted: “As a Marlian u have to enjoy your youth but don’t destroy your future.”
