Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, 13, bodies are been released for burial to their family a week after they died in a helicopter crash in California, along with seven others.

A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office told DailyMail that the remains of the 42-year-old NBA star and his daughter, who lost their lives when the helicopter crashed into a hillside on January 26 in Calabasas, California, were returned after they confirmed their identity and authorities determined the cause of death.

Also released were the remains of pilot Ara Zobayan and passengers Christina Mauser, 38, Sarah Chester, 45, and her 13-year-old daughter Payton, the spokeswoman confirmed.

According to the coroner’s office, passengers John Altobelli, 56, his wife Keri, 46, and their daughter Alyssa, 14, are ready to be released but have not yet been taken in by family members.
