Akro Farms was registered in July 2018 and began operation the same year. The original intention of the entrepreneur, according to the managing consultant, Mr. Benjamin Owiredu was to operate on a small-scale. Plans however changed and the outcome is a large scale and fully automated farm.
Job Description
The company is recruiting well educated and experienced individual for this position
The person MUST be living or willing to live in Koforidua, AkropongAkuapim or towns around these areas. ‘On-call’ work may be required because feeding equipment is in a continual 24-hour operation.
Responsibilities
• Operating of feeding equipment
• Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
• Responding to breakdowns
• Diagnosing faults
• Repairing equipment
• Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
• Creating maintenance procedures
• Managing stocks of supplies and equipment
Qualification
• BSc (Hons)Mechanical Engineering or HND in Mechanical Engineering with more than 2 years experience
• Must have knowledge in poultry production
