The hierarchy of courts derives largely from British juridical forms. The courts have jurisdiction over all civil and criminal matters.

Job Description

Recruitment Of Court Clerks

Responsibilities

  • arrange processes filed in dockets.
  • Head and index record books. Make entries into the things books.
  • issue warrants.
  • Select cases darkest.
  • Prepare statistical Returns.
  • Mark and register exhibit tendered in court.
  • call Cases.
  • Swear in Witnesses.
  • Prepare Cause List
  • any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification/Requirement

  • bachelor degree in social science or Business Administration from a recognised accredited institution
  • computer literacy in Microsoft Office application and use of the internet.
  • Good communication and writing skills in English language.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • High-level integrity.

Recruitment Of Court Records Officers

Responsibilities

  • record of court proceedings directly transcribed court proceedings.
  • Type Court orders, letters of administration and judgements.
  • Paste Court orders, ruling and judgements in their various books
  • Type course list.
  • And any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification

  • bachelor’s degree from a recognized accredited institution.
  • typing speed of 50 wpm.
  • Good communication and writing skills in English language.
  • Computer literacy; Microsoft Office application and use of the internet.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • High-level integrity

Recruitment Of Librarian

Qualification

  • master’s degree in library and achiever studies from a recognized accredited institution.
  • computer literacy in Microsoft Office application and use of the internet.
  • Good communication and writing skills in the English language.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • High-level integrity.

Recruitment Of Court Interpreters

Responsibilities

  • Interpret court proceedings from local or foreign languages to English language and vice-versa.
  • And any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognised accredited institution; academic qualification in the spoken languages will be an added advantage.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office application and knowledge in the use of the internet.
  • High-level integrity. Excellent oral and written communication in English language.
  • Good oral communication in any of the following sets of languages

UPPER EAST REGION:

  • Gruni and any two of the following: Hausa, Moli, Fulani, Kassim, Talensi and Twi.
  • Kusaal and any two of the following: Hausa, Moli, Fulani, Kassim, Talensi and Twi.

ASHANTI REGION:

  • Twi (Asante) and any two of the following: Hausa, Wwe, Grumi, Dagbaani, Dagaaba and Fulani

BRONG AHAFO REGION:

  • Twi (Bono) and any two of the following: Hausa, Fulani, Nsema, Wassa and Ewe

EASTERN REGION:

  • Twi (Akuapim or Asante) and any two of the following: Krobo, Ga, Hausa, Ewe and Fulani.

CENTRAL REGION:

  • Twi (Fante or Asante) and any two of the following: Hausa, Fulani, Nsema, Wassa and Ewe.

WESTERN REGION:

  • Nzema and any two of the following: Fante, Hausa, Onwi, Twi, Ahanta and Bronsa.
  • Wassa and any two of the following: Hausa, Ewe, Twi, Onwi and Brosa.

GREATER ACCRA REGION:

  • Ga and any two of the following: Ga-Dangbe, Twi, Ewe, Hausa and Dagbani.
  • Ga-Dangbe and any two of the following: Ga, Twi, Ewe, Hausa and Dagbani.

VOLTA REGION:

  • Ewe and any two of the following: Krobo, Lelemi, Hausa, Twi and Fulani.

NOTE: Candidates must indicate tier region of choice. Candidates must show evidence of completion of National Service.
