Ghanaian rapper Asem has finally broken silence on the BringBackAzontothe campaign which was started by his rival, Sarkodie.
Award-winning rapper Sarkodie started a campaign online campaign dubbed #BringBackAzonto with the aim of bringing back the dance and song genre.
He has earlier given his fans a feel of his Azonto rhythm in his new song “Fa Hooki Me” which features Tulenkey and so far the response has been good.
After his call, a lot of conversations has gone as to who is the inventor or originator of the azonto gener.
Gasmilla had earlier stated that he was the originator of ‘Azonto’ music and not Sarkodie as many people are trying to claim.
According to Gasmila, Sarkodie should have reached out to him when he got the idea that he wanted to bring back the craze which has fizzled out.
Well, Sarkodie’s rival, Asem in a recent social media post has spoken on the BringBackAzonto agenda.
In a submission via his twitter page, Asem asked people to do research about the music and give respect to the innovators.
Do some research into the history behind the music ,give respect to the real innovators and show support to real and true artistry
