Among the directives and the precautionary measures, set by the government to halt the spread of COVID-19, wearing facial masks was also added in order to protect us from being exposed to the disease. In view of this, the MP for Ayawaso West Wougon, gave out sewing machines to dressmakers in her constituency to achieve the target of 50,000 face masks for her people.

“In order to extend this exercise to more constituents to help stop the spread of the virus, we have acquired sowing machines and commissioned 20 dressmakers in the constituency to help produce 50,000 face masks with the specifications outlined by the Food and Drugs Authority. The dressmakers have also been provided with the prescribed FDA material for the production as well as other necessary materials…I would like to reiterate my confidence in the local human resource potential, my constituents, and the nation at large presents as we battle COVID -19”.
