Senior Lecturer of the Economics Department of UCC has been given the mandate by the president of Ghana, to serve as the Municipal Chief Executive in the Prestea-Huni Valley Area, situated in the Western Region of Ghana.
His appointment letter was released on Thursday by a Ghanaian Lawyer, Politician and former Minister for the affairs of women and children in Ghana ” Hajia Alima Mahama” and was appointed in accordance with article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution, and section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, Act 936.”
His appointment statement was further issued to various news agencies in Ghana whereas the Regional Minister for Western Region in collaboration with the Electoral Commission worked out on his confirmation process as the ”Municipal Chief Executive”.
