A 50 years old Muslim woman “Mariam Issahaku” has been reported dead after her head cryptically went off on to the ground, without involving in an accident, while she was on a tricycle, which has been motorized from Fielimuo to Hamile situated in the upper west region of Ghana.
According to 3news.com, this sad event occurred on Thursday dated May 14, 2020.
Considering the reports made to the Lambussie Police Station, the deceased was with other four passengers who were in the bucket of the vehicle but she was positioned near the rider on the tools container.
As they reached Bagwon, the deceased head was seen on the road without any occurring accident with the motor tricycle.
After the incident was reported to the police, they headed towards the scene for further investigations.
“On-the-spot investigation revealed that the deceased had a long nylon cloth around her neck, which as the motor was in motion was picked by the shaft and tied around it as the shaft rotated to facilitate the movement of the said motor tricycle, leading to the cloth fastening strongly to her neck and finally resulting in the cutting of the neck from the body.”

The body of the deceased was kept at St Theresa’s Hospital in Nandom, after which, the Senior Medical Officer “Dr. Jude Ayambila” did an autopsy and a blood sample was taken for the COVID-19 test by Nandom District Magistrate Court which was negative.
The owner of the motor tricycle “John Bezieru” whose registration number is M-19-UW 613, has been taken into police custody for further investigations whereas the body of the deceased has also been released for burial.
