A young man identified as ” lumber” and a well-known trotro mate, has inflicted cuts and severe wounds on his 18 years old girlfriend ” Theresa Oppong” known to be a student of Serwaa Nyarko, over a scuffle on money issues after the guy refused to buy what the girl requested and asked him to refund her money.
This sad event happened at Krofrom, a suburb in the Ashanti region.
According to the victim, her purpose for visiting her boyfriend on the day of the incident was to take back an amount of 200 ghana cedis, that she gave him to buy something from him but had not made his intentions to do so.
She explained that, before she realized when sitting on his bed waiting for him, there was an electrical spark in her vagina which weakened her. The victim added that he inflicted severe wounds on her body and head with sharp objects.
“He covered my mouth so I was unable to shout for help by the time his neighbors came to my rescue he had run away,”
she indicated
According to the neighbors who rescued Theresa, she was found bleeding profusely after they broke into the room of “Lumber”, after which she was rushed to the hospital for further management and treatment.
Theresa’s mother explained that she overheard her daughter speaking with someone on the phone, saying she would come for her money if the person had not bought what she asked him to buy, but she later received a call only to come and see her daughter in a pool of blood.
The police have taken on this case to do a thorough investigation and to put in place measures to help apprehend the suspect.
