COVID 19: Confirmed Cases In Ghana Increases To 11,118 After 262 New Cases Were Identified

As of today 13th June 2020, Ghana has recorded 11,118 cases of the deadly coronavirus after 262 new cases were confirmed.

According to the latest update on the Ghana Health Service Website, the number of recoveries now stands at 3979 with the death tool remaining at 48.

The active cases stands 7,091 most of whom are asymptomatic; thus not showing symptoms of the virus.

According to the website, 24 people are in severe and critical conditions in various health facilities in Accra and Kumasi, and 4 of them are on ventilators.

Out of the 262 new cases, 144 were detected through routine surveillance while 118 were as a result of the enhanced contact-tracing exercise.

The cases were also found from a total of 3,230 samples that were tested.
