A United States court has dismissed the case against Olalekan Ponle popularly known as Woodberry
He was accused of multi-million dollar wire fraud and was arrested alongside Ray Hushpuppi on the same day in Dubai
According to the complaint against Woodberry, an unnamed Chicago company was tricked into sending wire transfers totaling $15.2 million. Companies based in Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, New York, and California also were victims of the fraud, prosecutors say.
Meanwhile, the U.S government filed a motion through its attorney, John R. Lausch, requesting that the case against him should be dismissed without prejudice.
Now when a case is dismissed with prejudice, it means it is over and done with, once and for all, and can’t be brought back to court.
A court order issued by Judge Robert W. Gettleman said the government’s motion to dismiss the complaint without prejudice was granted
So our cherish readers should bear in mind that the case is only dismissed without prejudice so it can be refiled after a period of time
