Anambra state police command has apprehended a 25-years old pregnant Oyinye Chime, over the murder of her boyfriend ” Eleyi Azubuike” amid a scuffle that ensued when he requested her to abort the pregnancy.
This unfortunate incident happened at Ochiagha street in Nkpor, a suburb of Anambra State, on September 2 which was a Wednesday.
According to Muhammed Haruna, the spokesman for the police command explained that the fight started when the deceased refused to grant the request of the convict in giving her some money to cater for herself when she turned down his idea to abort the pregnancy.
The argument between the two led to him getting stabbed which caused his death, adding that, the police detectives together with DPO CSP Ekuri Remigius reported to the site of the incident, after which the victim was rushed to the nearest hospital called Iyi Enu Mission hospital Ogidi but was confirmed dead immediately they arrived.
He indicated that a knife with blood was found closer to the victim and a stabbed wound was identified on the chest of the deceased, hence, a thorough investigation is still ongoing to disclose exactly what transpired.
