Yesterday, social media was buzzing after news surfaced that an award scheme organised by a man identified as Kwame Owusu Fordjour was labelled as fake.

The alleged fake award, named “UN Kofi Annan Global Award Excellence Award in Leadership”, was presented to celebrated Ghanaians including Sarkodie, D Black, Berla Mundi, DJ Black, Nathaniel Attoh and others.

The award scheme was to recognise the achievements and leadership of celebrated Ghanaians and their contributions to Ghana’s development.

But, according to a social media user, the awards are ‘fake’ and that the organiser is not associated with the United Nations as claimed.

Following this exposé, trolls and the backlash that has gone their way, some celebrities have deleted posts of the awards on their social media handles.

Well, self-acclaimed queen of comedy “Afia Schwa” has also joined social media commentators to mock our celebrities over their fake award which is currently trending on social media.

Afia Schwa, in a self-recorded video, called out the honorees and awardee for not doing anything beneficial with their time rather than going for fake awards.
