Sekyere Amankwah, one of the heavyweights in the Kumawood film industry who was wrongly declared dead, has finally broken his silence.

Actor Joe Shortingo, after hearing the news of Sekyere Amankwah ‘s death reports, took time off his busy schedule to check up on his fellow actor.

In a phone call conversation sighted by Thedistin.com, Sekyere Amankwah revealed that the obituary poster of him circulating that he is dead is never true but it is a poster from a movie he’s working on.

According to him, he is among the actors in an upcoming series which has him playing a role as one Akwasi Mensah which was the exact name displayed on the circulating poster meanwhile his real name is Sekyere Amankwah.

Although it has been alleged that he (Sekyere) together with the producers intentionally released his obituary poster purposely for publicity stunt for an upcoming Kumawood televison series, Sekyere Amankwah has revealed that the poster was leaked by an editor whom they were working with.

Sekyere Amankwah again said that he has received numerous calls since the release of his obituary poster from people in their bid to confirm the news from himself.

Although the news is very sad especially when it is a fabricated one but actor Joe Shortingo and Sekyere Amankwah ended their conversation with amusement.

Thedistin.com had earlier reported when actress Christiana Awuni reacted to the trending poster of Sekyere Amankwah.

Actress Christiana Awuni also shared the poster on her Instagram page on Monday, September 28, and revealed that it was fake news so people should ignore.

“The fake is news,” she captioned the trending poster.
