The pre-funeral rite of Madam Madam Victoria Agbotui is ongoing and it is being held at the State House.

The final funeral rite that will see Jerry John Rawlings and his family saying goodbye to Madam Victoria Agbotui will be held at Keta.

In a new video sighted by Thedistin.com, the former president of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings was unable to read his tribute message to his mother due to the pain her demise has caused him and his entire family.

As an effect to that, his daughter, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings who is the Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korle Constituency, Accra read the tribute on his behalf.

While Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings was reading the attribute, Jerry John Rawlings was spotted unhappy and full of sorrow.

The sad news on the death of Madam Victoria Agbotui, the mother of former President of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings, was reported on the 24th of September and she died at age 101.

This sadden news was confirmed by multiple sources close to the Rawlings’ family.

According to many sources, Madam Agbotui had been unwell for some time now.

She celebrated her 101st birthday on September 9, 2020.

Born in 1919, Madam Victoria Agbotui came into the limelight following her son’s ascension to power in 1979.

She was also the head of the catering department at the presidency during her son’s reign.
