A letter from Reindorf Twumasi Ankrah, the solicitor for Ibrahim Mahama shows their readiness to take legal actions against Accra based television network, UTV over defamatory statements made by Ernest Owusu Bempah on the NPP’s ‘Asempa Yɛ’tia show.

Ibrahim Mahama, acting through his lawyers have threatened to sue UTV for defamation should they avail their platform to Ernest Owusu Bempa to host his “Asempa Yɛ Tia” show.

The NDC show aired on Saturday evening with Sammy Gyamfi as the host has been a platform the NDC commentator uses to make wild allegations against the President and his family members notably Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko and Nana Asante Bediatuo.

The NPP in an attempt to counter the NDC’s program also bought airtime for Ernest Owusu Bempah to also attack NDC Presidential candidate John Mahama and his brother Ibrahim Mahama.

The last edition of the two shows have brought so many legal threats on UTV from Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko and Nana Asante Bediatuo on some allegations made against them by Sammy Gyamfi on the Nokwɛre Mmrɛ Show.

Ibrahim Mahama, brother of the NDC Presidential candidate has also written to UTV over statements Ernest Owusu Bempah made on the NPP’s ‘Asempa Yɛ’tia show.
