Davido Shares His Experience Of The Late President Jerry John Rawlings

Popular Nigerian superstar Davido has paid tribute to former President Jerry John Rawlings.

In an interview with Giovani Caleb on on 3FM Drive on Friday 13th November, 2020, Davido shared the crazy experience he had with Rawlings back in 2014.

According to Davido, he saw Jerry John Rawlings get out of his car to buy items from a shop at a fuel station without any security protection.

The “FEM” hit maker added that he was very shocked but he later realized that Ghanaians truly admired Rawlings and loved him.

As a result of that, the former President could walk freely in town knowing that nothing will happen to him.

Davido said;

“J.J Rawlings is a legend. My crazy experience with him was in 2014 when I saw him get out of his car to buy from the shop at the fuel station with no security detail.

“I was shocked but it made me realized how Ghanaians loved him and how he also loved and trusted his people to the extent that he walked freely in town and he felt safe knowing he is loved.”

Mr Rawlings died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Thursday November 12. He was 73 years.
