The Electoral Commission, headed by its chairperson, Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensa, announced that people will still be permitted to vote in tomorrow’s election without their ID cards.

The EC Chairperson has made it known that all citizens who have registered but have misplaced or damaged their Voters ID cards can still cast their votes in the coming elections on 7 December.

The commission has this initiative for persons who are registered citizens but have either defaced voter ID card or misplaced theirs only and not those whose names are not among the list of eligible voters.

It mentioned that individuals with such difficulties would only be expected to mention their names to the officers in charge at the polling station.

The EC officers in the various polling stations will in turn cross-check their names in the reference list and if their name is found, they will be given the opportunity to vote.
