Alleged invitation card in a picture form indicating the date, time, and venue for the declaration of the presidential results has surfaced online.

A poster/flyer has been trending on social media platforms that indicates the Electoral Commission led by Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensa’s readiness to announce the next president of the nation, Ghana, after the election and counting has culminated.

On the flyer/poster, it states “the electoral commission has the honor to invite you to the formal declaration of the 2020 presidential election results”.

An on the poster, the date issued was on Tuesday, 8 December and the time indicated is 5:00 PM and it goes on to reveal the venue as the International Conference Centre, Accra.

As it stands now, Ghana’s 2020 general presidential election is between only two political parties ie. the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the National Democratic Congress is led by John Dramani Mahama.
