Mistake which was spotted on the EC’s ‘Gazetted Results Of The 2020 Parliamentary Election Circulating On Social Media Not Authentic’ press release has been corrected in the official press post shared on the EC’s social media pages.
Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensa, chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana has released another press to inform the general public on a gazetted 2020 parliamentary results document making waves on the internet.
According to the EC, their attention has been drawn to a fake 2020 parliamentary results and it’s hereby addressing it as not authentic and should be disregarded by the general public.
Earlier before the EC shared it’s official notice, the same press release was circuating across social media platforms with one which was sighted by Thedistin.com on Haruna Institute’s Facebook page.
Per the shared post on Haruna Institute’s Facebook page, there were erros found in the EC’s press released and it was well corrected by a good citizen.
On the press, they said “The gazzetted results of the 2020 Parliamentary Elections can be purchased at the Assembly’s Press”.

Now the keyword of mistake here is the spelling of the word “Gazetted” which has only one ‘z’ and not two.
However, some Ghanaians who spotted the earlier mistakes the EC made in this same press took beneath the official post with no mistakes on the Facebook page of the EC and reacted.
Some netizens advised the EC to address the nation on every mistakes they make and stop pretending as if they never did.
Other also think the NDC are doing everything possibly to drag the EC’s head in the mud and hence manipulate fake press of the EC and share it on social media.
