Chico Maziakpono aka Chico Ejiro, a renowned Nollywood movie producer has been reported dead on Christmas day.

Nollywood has been thrown into great mourning after one of its best producers, Chico Ejiro was confirmed dead.

Channel TV reports that his remains have been taken to the mortuary, adding that his death came after he directed a movie on Thursday, December 24.

Chico Ejiro was a Nigerian movie director, screenwriter, and producer and has been in the industry for 30 years.

Ejiro was survived by four children and a wife. It should be noted that the popular Zeb Ejiro is his senior brother.

Little is known about Ejiro other than he was born in Isoko, Delta, Nigeria, and that he originally studied agriculture, and he was drawn into video production because Nigerians would not buy blank video cassettes.
