Sonnie Badu Calls On President Akufo-Addo To Rename Kotoka International Airport After Former President Rawlings

UK based Ghanaian Gospel musician Sonnie Badu has paid his final tribute to former President Jerry John Rawlings.

The former President Rawlings was buried yesterday at the military cemetery in Accra after burial service took place at Black Stars Square.

Mr. Rawlings sadly lost his life last year November 2020 after a short illness

Sonnie Badu in a post shared on his Instagram page paid tribute to the former President Rawlings and called on President Akufo-Addo to rename Ghana’s Airport after him.

He wrote;

JJ do something before you die” that was the chants !!! You indeed did all you needed to you …. You will always be a role model to some of us. Thank you for all you did for Ghana. Your burial is so beautiful it makes some of us want to work even harder and make the nation proud …… Now dear president, @nakufoaddo How about Kotoka international airport being changed to JJ Rawlings International Airport?
