Guru NKZ in an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM has narrated the genesis of his beef with Kuami Eugene and his boss Richie Mensah of Lynx Entertainment.
According to Guru, he holds nothing bad against Kuami Eugene and he admires his craft since he is from a hood, he had captured during his prime, Fadama.

Guru said he is happy Kuami Eugene is on a label of his old time friend, Richie Mensah and his success as an artist is also his great wish since they are all doing it for Ghana.
Guru explaining how this whole disrespect set in, noted that he met Kuami Eugene during his promotion and they agreed to do a project together.

According to Guru, the “Open Gate” hitmaker wanted him on the remix of “Lapaz Toyata” and he (Guru) was happy because his fans had been forcing him to do a collaborations.
Guru explained that he wasn’t hearing from him and his label in the midst of his fans being on his neck asking for a collaboration and he approached them again to ask why if something went wrong somewhere.
Guru NKZ further said Kuami Eugene who was positive and agreed to his request for a collaboration then went on an interview to reveal he cannot record a song with him because he had disrespected his boss.
Guru expressed how disappointed he was after hearing that submissions from Kuami Eugene.

This Guru and Richie Mensah’s saga which trended some years back has resurrected after Kuami Eugene revealed he is not ready to feature him (Guru).
According to Kuami Eugene, Guru disrespected his boss, Richie, hence he cannot see himself working with him.

Richie Mensah in the first few sentences of his responds confirmed that indeed Guru disrespected him in public.
According to Richie Mensah, Guru asked for a feature from either KiDi or Kuami Eugene but his request was denied.
