The burial of Mr. Nick Adjei Danso Abbeam‘s mother, Madam Abena Achiaa (Achiaa FM), who died on 16th March 2016 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has been revealed as the most expensive individual funeral rite ever in the history of Ghana.
The most Expensive and Biggest funeral in Ghana happened in Nkoranza and was done by Mr. Nick Adjei Danso Abbeam, the rich son of the late Madam Abena Achiaa.

Body And The Caskets
A prototype of the casket that was used to bury music icon Michael Jackson landed by air at the Kotoka International Airport, the first of its kind to land on the African continent.
The casket was headed for the scenic town of Nkoranza in the Brong Ahafo Region for the burial of Madam Abena Achiaa (Achiaa FM), who died on 16th March 2016 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The late Abena Achiaa, who died at the age of seventy-one, was the CEO of Achiaa FM at Nkoranza.
She was the mother of Ghanaian business magnate Nick Danso, described as one of Ghana’s most enterprising young businessmen.
The body of Mr. Nick Adjei Danso Abbeam’s late mother, Madam Abena Achiaa was delivered in a helicopter from Accra to Nkoranza with full security.
When the caskets containing the body of arrived safely at the hometown of Mr. Nick Adjei Danso Abbeam, a fleet of luxurious cars carried it to the funeral grounds.
According to Magrahed Tv, the gold platted was an upgraded version of late King of pop songs, Michael Jackson’s casket which was produced by Batesville Casket Company of Batesville, Indiana, USA. Michael Jackson’s casket according to reports had it’s model chosen as the Promethean type, a highly polished 14 carat gold-plated bronze casket said to cost in the $30,000 range and has a flame blue velvet interior.
According to Magrahed, the total cost of the casket including the shipping was estimated at $75,000 and was paid by Mr. Nick Adjei Danso Abbeam to honor his late mother in 2016.

Former president, John Agyekum Kuffour also graced the funeral together with some other law makers and also, Dr. Bawumia — just to mention few.
Sierra Leone’s ambassador to Ghana and other ministers attended the funeral rite. DR Congo delegation represented the president at the funeral. Late Nana Asampohene attended the funeral on behalf of the King of Asantehene etc.
Also, the funeral grounds saw the performances from late Kofi B, Nana Ampadu, Daddy Lumba, Obaa Christy etc.
