Legendary movie star, Jackie Chan is planning to give away an enormous $370 million to charity and leave nothing for his only son, Jaycee Chan Joming as a life lesson.
Reports say that Chan believes “if he (his son) is capable, he can make his own money. And if he is not, he will just be wasting mine.”
Jackie Chan’s relationship with his 38-year-old son has been under rocks since 2015 when his son got busted by Chinese authorities for drug use.
Jaycee spent six months in prison for the crime.
Jackie Chan, who is China’s 2009 anti-drug ambassador apologized for his son’s actions at the time saying that he was “very angry and ashamed” of his son.
It is now widely reported that Mr Chan is planning to teach his son a life lesson and work his way to the top by not leaving him his wealth as an inheritance.
Rather, he has already made up his mind to give it away as charity.
