Ghana’s Covid-19 Cases Increasing At Alarming Rate At KIA

Kotoka International Airport for the past days has recorded the highest number of Covid-19 positive cases after its reopening for business.

The country continues to have imported cases of Covid-19, making the country’s covid cases to continue shooting up.

The company (Frontiers Health Service) assigned to do the testing for all passengers arriving in the country has called on all stakeholders involved to put in strict measures to help curtail the current trend of imported cases into the country.

According to the company, ever since it begun testing, its has recorded the first highest cases of Covid-19 infection of passengers entering the country.

It had its first highest record of 45 cases on 21st April 2021 and also recorded 75 cases on 24 April 2021.

The has been the highest cases recorded in a day ever since the airport begun its operation since September 2020.

Since the reopening of the Kotoka International Airport for business in September, last year, 231,911 tests have been conducted with 1,452 positive cases recorded.

The company in a press release has called on government and other stakeholders to take immediate steps to regulate covid-19 cases recorded in the country.
