U.S President, Joe Biden Proposes Increase In Minimum Wage To $15 Per Hour; Says No One Working Should Be Poor | Video

The 46th President of the United States of America Joseph Robinette Biden Jr better known as Joe Biden has announced the increment of America’s minimum wage to 15 dollars an hour.

The President signed executive order that will raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour for American workers.
This increment expert believes will provide a pay rise to hundreds of thousands of workers.

The White House said in its release to the press that, the workers would include cleaning professionals and maintenance workers, nursing assistants who care for veterans, cafeteria workers providing for the military and laborers who build and repair federal infrastructure.

This particular policy was a solemn pledge Mr Biden made while running for the Presidency In 2020 against Donald Trump.

Biden, Who was a former Vice President to Obama won in a historic landslide victory changing the narrative of America to have a first female Vice President in the person of Kamala Harris.

The Whitehouse has ultimately directed that, All federal agencies would need to include the higher wage in new contract offerings by 30th January 2022 of next year. 

By 30th March 2022 however, agencies would need to implement the higher wage into new contracts by which failure do do so could lead to stiffer punishment from government by law.

The increase would also be in existing contracts that are extended regardless of the old basis by which they were signed.
