Presidential wives of the land are alleged to receive Ghc21000 each without allowance and will be back dated from 2017.
It’s been alleged that Mrs Rebecca Akuffo Addo and Mrs Samira Bawumia will begin to receive an amount of Ghc 21, 000 monthly.

Issues concerning allowances and salaries for first and second ladies of the land became a bone of contention as many alleged that President Akuffo Addo approved salary and allowance for first and second ladies.
Minister of information Hon Oppong Nkrumah debunked such rumours and clarified that it was the duty of a committee.

However committee recommendation has it that, the first and second ladies of the land should receive salary of Ghc21,000 monthly excluding their allowances.
As this is the first time first and second ladies are going to be paid, it will be back to 2017 when they took office
